2007 Operation E.L.F. Holiday Party
For the fourth year, the advisors of AdviceOne teamed up with the Connecticut National Guard to host a Holiday Party for families of deployed Connecticut soldiers. This year’s event was held at the Hartford Armory on December 15. The event was enjoyed by over 100 people, including Governor Jodi Rell. AdviceOne clients served food and beverages, bussed tables, and assisted children with craft projects and gift selections. AdviceOne Advisors, staff and clients donated over $3000 in gift certificates to the party attendees.
Ron Williams’ Riverboat Cruise
Wet weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of Ron’s clients and their guests as they enjoyed dancing to the music of the Fast Lane Band while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Michael Grossman’s AdviceOne Ambassador Riverboat Cruise
Over 100 of Michael’s AdviceOne Ambassadors and their guests spent a crisp fall evening cruising on the "Mystique," one of the Lady Katharine ships. Not only did the attendees enjoy the delicious refreshments and dancing, they also raised over $1300 for the organization "Autism Speaks."
Reunion Party for Employees and Retirees of The Hartford
AdviceOne clients and their guests joined Wealth Manager Ron Williams for a delicious Chinese dinner at Wang Palace in Glastonbury. Current and past employees of The Hartford had a chance to relax and catch up on the latest news with each other. The group enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and co-workers over a fun and casual meal.
Rock Cats Picnic and Baseball Game
Over 350 AdviceOne Clients and their families and friends attended this year’s event. Guests enjoyed perfect baseball weather, traditional picnic fare, and a double header!
Michael Grossman’s Pratt and Whitney Reunion Party
Michael Grossman treated his clients and their guests from Pratt and Whitney to a Reunion Party on May 8. Retirees and current employees mingled and shared laughter and memories - and a delicious dinner. "This is one of my favorite Client Appreciation Events," said Grossman. "This group really knows how to enjoy themselves, and it’s fun to see long-time friends reconnect!"
Movie Premiere of "The Ultimate Gift"
Nearly 200 AdviceOne clients, advisors and staff attended a private movie premiere of “The Ultimate Gift” at the Loew’s Theatre in Plainville in February. The film is based on the best-selling book by Jim Stovell starring James Garner, Brian Dennehy and Academy-Award nominee Abigail Breslin in a heartwarming story that explores the question, “What is the relationship between wealth and happiness?” AdviceOne advisors had given clients the thought-provoking book to read in advance of the premiere ( the film released nationally in March). Michael P. Grossman, CFP®, President of AdviceOne remarked, “We believe very strongly in the guiding principles outlined in ‘The Ultimate Gift’ book and have been discussing them with our clients. This event was a truly unique experience, and one that we were privileged to share with our clients. By the end of the film there wasn’t a dry eye in the theatre!”
